US Media Society
The US Media Society is an initiative of Altair Media US focused on understanding the systems shaping digital media, public communication and information flows.
In the United States, media environments are defined at scale by technology platforms, financial incentives and data-driven infrastructures. Artificial intelligence, algorithmic curation and platform dynamics increasingly determine how information is produced, distributed and consumed — influencing not only public discourse, but also economic behaviour and societal outcomes.
Rather than focusing on individual platforms or content, the US Media Society examines the structural logic of these systems. This includes how visibility is created, how attention is captured and how information circulates across interconnected networks.
By connecting analysis, research and conceptual development, the initiative aims to provide a clearer understanding of how media systems evolve — and how they shape the relationship between technology, markets and society over time.
