It started with a bang: Trump declared Europe “in decline”, Sam Altman warned AI is outrunning humanity and even Elon Musk admitted he’s losing sleep over it. Finn put on his trench coat and asked: Can Europe still stand tall and build its own future? You loved the question — reposts, new followers, the works. Thank you!
Next, Yann LeCun dropped a truth bomb: “more parameters ≠ smarter”. Finn quacked in full agreement: Europe doesn’t need trillion-parameter monsters. Smarter architectures + open source = our superpower.
Mustafa Suleyman proudly rolled out GPT-5.2 in Copilot. Finn congratulated him… then politely asked how digital sovereignty fits when Europe keeps renting American brains.
And Sam Altman celebrated 10 years of OpenAI. Finn raised a tiny glass from the continent: “Cheers! Now can we have a slice of the cake too?” Because with Mistral, Aleph Alpha and friends, Europe is baking its own.
